IKEA Dimpa Bag

I heard about this bag somewhere on the internet and from friends, so when I was in Singapore a few weeks ago, I got a Dimpa Bag in IKEA. It cost S$7.90 (US$6.00) a piece. I bought one as a potential alternative to my sturdy but bulky Vincita B-132 Bag.

As you can see below, the Brompton fits snuggly inside the Dimpa Storage Case. (Vincita, adopt these dimensions to your B-132 Bag, please!!! 65cm x 65cm x 22cm) I like it also that the zipper goes all the way to the side of the bag making it easier for one to fit the bike.
However, the sad thing about this product is that the material (Polypropylene) its made of is so thin and fragile! I'm scared to carry it using the attached strap for fear it my tear up. My god, the local sako/plastic hakot bag one can get in Divisoria (see item below) uses thicker material, and is way cheaper!
The Dimpa Bag has the right dimensions to fit the Brompton. The zipper's cool too. But I hope IKEA improves on the material that they use--its just too thin, even for its intended use as a spare tire bag.

So for now, whether for airplane, train or bus travel, the Vincita B-132 Bag is still my folding bike storage/travel bag of choice. Yes, it may be bulky, but at least its sturdy and has sufficient padding to protect my bike.
