Video: Bike Trailer for Brompton

From our friends at Radical Design in the Netherlands--a bicycle trailer for the Brompton.

The alloy frame measures 36' x 18' and includes a tow bar, 1 hitch, 2 wheels, and the bag. The Cyclone III retails for 449 Euros (or PhP 25,000!). I hope I can find a welder here in Manila who can fabricate something like this. It'd be useful in transporting all kinds of stuff (i.e. groceries, small furniture, etc.)

  1. Hello Kris,

I've been googling and reading up about folding bikes in Manila and stumbled upon your very informative blog.

I don't know how else to contact you so sorry for the off-topic Comments post. I have a few questions that I hope you could answer. (I back-read almost all your posts so I hope these don't seem redundant.)

    1. When you mentioned buying a Brompton in SG/HK, do you mean buying them from the dealer's website and having them shipped here? Or, buying them in person and sneaking them into your check-in baggage? :D

    2. Until I get (to afford) a Brompton, would a Dahon Eco C6/C7 suffice for use similar to yours--ie biking to and from work within Metro Manila (including bringing it in trains, buses) and going to errands? Local bike trips? Foreign too? Are they as portable/usable as Brompton bikes, or at least good enough?

    3. Finally, what's the best bike route from Makati CBD to Fort BGC (say, Greenbelt to High Street)?

    Many thanks,
    LM

    1. Hi, LM! Thanks for visiting my blog. Glad I could help. Here are my answers:
      1. You have to go buy directly the Brompton in HK and Taiwan. On the other hand, you can order on-line sa Singapore. Pero malaki ang charges pagdating sa Customs. So better to go to dealer and buy directly.
      2. All Dahin bikes are good and sturdy for daily commute, but they are bulky. Medyo mahihirapan ka bitbitin sa bus and mrt.
      3. For makati to hight street, i take ayala ave. then cross edsa. Enter mckinley and bike til i reach fort boni.

    1. That's an interesting design they've got there. I have a trailer for my folding bike already, but since it's full-size, I just went down and got a regular one from the bike shop.
